Olde Fashioned Christmas and Winter Festivals

December 8—30. Hundreds of nativities, Santa Claus figurines, gingerbread houses, angels, and displays on Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and other winter festivals from around the world. Work is scheduled to begin on a massive expansion that will nearly double our size and enhance each aspect of the Museum, from traveling and permanent exhibits to camps and classes.

Experience our current immersive traveling exhibit, "Space: A Journey to our Future" (in collaboration with NASA), and explore Eagle Rock, USA, and the flora, fauna, and other forces that have shaped our region.

The Museum of Idaho is dedicated to providing unique, hands-on educational opportunities. Our camps and classes feature interactive learning experiences for all ages.

The Museum of Idaho's internationally acclaimed traveling exhibits and varied local collections make it an ideal place to experience social and environmental history. Check out our exhibits page to learn what's going on before you plan your trip.

Day-to-day operations at the museum would be impossible with out our army of talented volunteers. We welcome adults 18+ to help us lead tours, catalog artifacts, and more. With a variety of available jobs and schedules, volunteering at the Museum of Idaho is a simple, fun, and fulfilling way to give back to your community.
