Guns of the West & Rocky Mountain Fly Fishing
Showed July 14, 2006 to January 27th, 2007
This exhibit focused on the history of guns and fly-fishing
in the west. The guns exhibit spaned more than 300 years of
history beginning with the first gun ever made in the
15th century, and ending with some of the most famous
machine guns of World War II. Many of the guns and artifacts
come from the gunslinger era, including some well-known
gambling paraphernalia from the famous Irma Hotel and an
actual gattling gun.
The G&H exhibit was over 10,000 sq. ft. and was composed of
items and actual artifacts from over a dozen collections
around the U.S. It was an exhibit that proved to be
very popular with western history buffs, fishermen, gun
enthusiasts, outdoor enthusiasts, and their families.
