Description:
The Museum of Idaho has carried on a tradition of hosting nationally acclaimed exhibitions from all over the world. Both educational and entertaining, the exhibits have ranged from T-rex named Sue to NASA's Space Journey, from the Dead Sea Scrolls to World of the Pharaohs.

The Museum of Idaho is seeking a Director of Exhibitions to be responsible for the management, execution, coordination and implementation of the annual major traveling exhibitions and creating/coordinating temporary exhibits. Also, oversees and develops the five (5) permanent museum exhibits. A successful candidate would be creative, passionate and a leader capable of working with a number of internal departments, sponsors and volunteers to ensure the project's success.

Requirements:
The position requires demonstrated skills in the ability to research, create, coordinate and produce outstanding traveling exhibits that are both educational and entertaining. A qualified individual will possess planning and communication skills and be experienced in professional exhibit management. Good computer and logistics skills are required.

The position reports to the Museum's Executive Director.
Director of Marketing, Promotions and Public Relations

Description:
The Museum of Idaho is seeking a Director of Marketing, Promotions and PR to be responsible for maintaining and expanding the established programs in support of the annual traveling exhibitions and the Museum of Idaho. A successful candidate would be characterized by a professional can-do-spirit; a desire to know and respond to sponsors, media and the community; the ability to work well under pressure; set and meet annual goals; enjoy the culture and outdoors of Eastern Idaho and the Intermountain West.

Requirements:
The position(s) requires demonstrated skill/success in; developing sponsorship proposals both cash and value-in-kind and fundraising activities to maintain and expand the $350,000 annual marketing income, developing and implementing a promotional plan that effectively features and communicates the current traveling exhibition and other Museum of Idaho programs to the general public and tourists; manage and coordinate a annual Private Grand Opening Exhibition Reception. Ability to write and distribute media releases and develop good public relations with newsprint, radio and TV organizations.
