  Discovery Day
 
On the third Saturday of every month children ages 6 to 12 (at time of event) can enjoy fun and learning in a wholesome atmosphere through the exciting Discovery Day program. Discovery Day is four hours of fun and learning through hands-on interactive activities led by trained educators who love working with kids. Each month children will:
  • Meet a Scientist and get the inside scoop on the theme for the month. The first hour of each Discovery Day allows participants a chance to interact with a professional scientist.
  • Create and construct projects they can take home.
  • Conduct experiments that explore and investigate the world around them.
Each month Discovery Day participants explore a different theme. Past themes include Bats, Early Settlers, Native American Heritage, Wildlife in the Winter, The Magic of Science, and Wonderful Weather. Upcoming themes are listed in the schedule, below.
Program Details:
Age: 6 to 12 at time of event
Location: Museum of Idaho,
200 N. Eastern Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID (see Map)
Dates: Typically the third Saturday of the month. See schedule on right for exact dates.
Time: Typically 9:30 am - 1:00 pm Click an item in the schedule to see details.
Cost: $20.00; $15.00 for MOI members (contact Tevye Waite about fee discounts for people who volunteer during the event). Registration fee is non-refundable.
Registration: Space is limited and registration is not complete until payment is received by the Museum of Idaho.
We will accept participants on a "first-paid-first-served" basis.

How to Register: Online - Participants may register online by clicking on the desired month above.
In Person - Fill out a registration form available at the main desk of the Museum and turn it into the receptionist, along with full payment.
